Surf collective was founded by three proven surfpark experts with the objective to merge all the key knowledge, skills and experience needed for a successful surfpark under one roof.

The Founders

  • Mark Fessler

    SURF & OPERATIONS

    Mark is a wavepool and surf industry expert with over 25 years of experience. He has a proven track record with key skills in surf park operations & safety, sourcing, project management, marketing, retail and events.

    Mark was head of operations at Alaïa Bay and senior advisor to Alaïa international working on several projects.

    He is also a former pro surfer and a surf photographer in his spare time shooting under his brand surfpics.

  • Adam Chambers

    ARCHITECT & DESIGN

    BA (Hons) DipArch MArch ARB

    Adam is a Director at Stonewood Design. He has a wealth of experience working across a number of wave pool projects, collaborating with key partners such as Wave Garden, Alaïa and Emerge Surf.

    Adam is currently leading the delivery of a wave pool in Birmingham, which is due to open 2025.

  • Bruno Gujer

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    Bruno has 15 years experience in civil works and construction plus 25 years in action sports management.

    This combined knowledge brought him almost naturally to the wave pool industry. He was the CEO and project manager of Alaïa from start up to opening.

    Since he has helped to put more than 5 projects on rails. As a side project he also created wavepooljobs now in partnership with wavepoolmag.
